Hardness of heart causes people to lose family, well-being, and happiness.
The Word of God says the following: “But because of your stubbornness and your unrepentant heart, you are storing up wrath for yourself for the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God.” (Romans 2:5). But the Word of God also says in 2 Timothy 3:2: “For people will be lovers of themselves.”
When a person loves only themselves, they do not consider others. Their heart closes itself toward other people, even toward their own family and parents.
It is hardness of heart that leads people to commit adultery without considering their spouse and children.
It is hardness of heart that leads to divorce, abandoning the home without considering who must pay the mortgage.
What the wife earns is not enough, causing her to end up on the street — and the children as well.

“Moreover, I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you. I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh.”
Our heart is extremely important to God, because goodness and evil come from the human heart. Hatred and love come from the same heart; good and evil desires come from the heart. That is why we must dedicate our heart to God and invite Jesus Christ to live in our heart, so that evil and immorality remain shut out.
Pride hardens people’s hearts, causing them not to acknowledge God or submit to Him. Therefore, the Word of God says in Romans 1:28 that God gives them over to a depraved mind to do things that are not fitting.
In short, hardness of heart pushes people far backward and breaks their relationship with God. Many times we see people struggling with stress and depression, endangering their mental health because of the hardness of their heart.
See how hard people can become: they forget family, forget their children, and distance themselves from their loved ones because of money.
People prefer to let property be lost, even when family members have no home to live in. Hardness of heart can make someone lose their mind.
