The library welcomes all children during the big summer break! During school holidays, the library will show a movie (cartoon) every week on the big screen in its open-air theater, both at the library in Oranjestad and its branch in San Nicolas. In addition to this, there are workshops for children to paint a T-shirt. All activities are completely free. We ask parents to bring their children to the library to find books to read during the holidays. Membership for children and youth under 18 is free. The open-air movie program includes: Moana 2, Zootopia 2, The Super Mario Galaxy movie, and Hoppers.
The library is also participating in the Buki di Pret vacation program. The books have been distributed to all primary schools. The library’s activity for this program consists of 2 workshops to paint your own T-shirt: one at the Oranjestad Library and one at the San Nicolas branch. Space is limited, so parents, register your child so they don’t miss this chance!
For those interested in discovering something new and different, a beautiful exhibition by Velvet Zoe Ramos is on display in the activities room at the Oranjestad Library.
The library offers free membership for babies, children, and youth under 18. This opens up a world of books, stories, and information in various forms, including Ebooks and audiobooks. Thousands of books are waiting for children and youth to come and explore! The library also provides space to study, learn, meet, and gather, as well as computers with Internet and free WIFI.
