The Minister of Tourism, Transport, and Labor, Mr. Wendrick Cicilia, together with the Aruba Tourism Authority (A.T.A.), officially presented the renovation of the Facility Center at Rodgers Beach. The project is part of efforts to conserve and revitalize public facilities that hold so much value for the local community.
The Facility Center at Rodgers Beach holds sentimental value and brings back many wonderful memories for different generations of Arubans, particularly for the community of San Nicolas. However, as time passed, the building had deteriorated, and there was a need for renovation and maintenance.
Now that the work is completed, the facility has a completely refreshed image and is ready for the local community to use and enjoy again. As part of the project, both the pier and the deck at Rodgers Beach also received the necessary maintenance, contributing to a more pleasant and safe environment for all users.
Minister Cicilia expressed his gratitude to A.T.A. for the good collaboration and commitment to continuing to realize projects that have a direct impact on the community.
“This place has a special meaning for many people. It represents memories, gatherings, and moments shared with family and friends. Therefore, it is important that we not only create new projects, but also conserve, renovate, and give continuity to what we already have,” Minister Cicilia expressed.
Minister Cicilia applauded all the individuals and institutions involved who, thanks to their work and dedication, contributed to making this renovation a reality. He emphasized that continuity is essential to ensure that investments made in public facilities continue to benefit the community for many years.
Minister Cicilia also expressed his appreciation for the presence of Hilario Doncker, who is always attentive to the projects and developments taking place in San Nicolas. His commitment and continuous involvement with the community is something to be appreciated.
According to Minister Cicilia, tourism is a shared responsibility, and its benefits must be felt throughout the entire community, among other ways through investment in public spaces that both locals and visitors can enjoy.
“We must continue to invest in our public facilities, take care of what we have, and guarantee continuity in the projects that benefit our people. The moment the government, A.T.A., and the community work together, we can create a more beautiful and lasting Aruba for all of us,” Minister Cicilia concluded by saying.
