With less than two years before the start of the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games, all National Olympic Committees have begun their preparations to participate in the biggest sporting event in the world, the Olympic Games. In the case of the Aruban Olympic Committee (COA), they participated in the PanamSports Forum together with Olympic Solidarity titled “For the NOCs of the Americas, Preparation for the LA28 Games.” Olympic Solidarity is the organization of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) that manages the administrative and financial aspects of all things Olympic and ensures that all information and other relevant topics are provided to the different countries participating in the Games. In this case, the continental organization PanamSports, together with Olympic Solidarity, prepared a special forum for the countries of our continent to jointly begin the preparation process for the LA28 Games.
Participating in this forum were Jonathan Wever as Chef de Mission for the LA28 Games and Monica Fajardo as COA Technical Director. The main objective of participating in this forum is to receive all relevant information regarding participation in the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games in order to organize TEAMARU’s participation in LA28 as effectively as possible. Participating in an event the size of the Olympic Games, where more than 50 sports disciplines are in action with over 11,000 athletes, is a major logistical challenge that requires extensive preparation and planning to ensure a successful participation.
