Focused on improving service and connecting job seekers with businesses
Minister of Justice Arthur Dowers met at the Bestuurskantoor with DIMAS, represented by director Kathleen Paskel and strategic advisor Gregory Hoogenbergen, to receive information about various developments currently underway within the organization.
During the first part of the meeting, DIMAS presented its Customer Care Project, a project focused on service improvement. The management provided an explanation of the strategic plan, including the goals, scheduled work, planning, and costs related to its execution. The presentation also provided an opportunity for Minister Dowers to ask questions and delve deeper into the next steps for the project’s implementation.
In the second part of the meeting, DIMAS and the International Organization for Migration (IOM) jointly presented a new application developed within the framework of the Progress Board – Spoor 4.
The application creates the possibility to connect program participants with companies looking for personnel. When there is a proper match between a participant and a company, the participant’s guarantor can be changed to the company in question. During the meeting, a practical example demonstrated how the system works and how it is designed to be simple and accessible to use.
Minister Dowers reacted positively to the possibilities offered by the new application and expressed his appreciation for the initiative and the cooperation that made its development possible.
After the current trajectory of the Progress Board – Spoor 4 concludes, it will be evaluated whether the application can find broader use. Among the possibilities mentioned are individuals who already hold a permit and are looking for another job, as well as local job seekers.
In the future, this could allow the application to evolve into a broader platform connecting job seekers with employers in Aruba, facilitating the process for both parties.
The meeting gave Minister Dowers a broader view of the projects DIMAS is currently developing, both to strengthen customer service and to utilize modern solutions that can contribute to a more accessible and efficient service.
