A morning of appreciation, knowledge, and dialogue with local press members
The Aruba Tourism Authority (A.T.A.) welcomed over 25 local press members for a special morning dedicated to appreciation, collaboration, and dialogue, commemorating Press Day 2026. The morning began with a breakfast of gratitude for the media professionals who work every day to keep our community informed.
Following breakfast, press members participated in a special program where A.T.A. shared deeper insights into the organization’s work, priorities, and vision. Discussions also covered the current state of the tourism industry and how the sector continues to evolve. As tourism in Aruba evolves, actions and conversations surrounding it must evolve as well. Therefore, the presence of the press was vital—acting as a key partner to amplify, guide, and foster dialogue on topics such as Responsible Tourism.
Additionally, during the morning, press members had the opportunity to meet various members of the A.T.A. team and learn more about the evolution of A.T.A.’s communication strategy, both in international markets and locally. They also gained a comprehensive view of various initiatives, projects, and efforts executed by A.T.A. on our island to support and strengthen Aruba, not only as a destination but also as a sustainable community where social well-being, the conservation of our natural heritage, and environmental protection take center stage.
For A.T.A., sharing information directly with the press is of utmost importance. A well-informed press can provide the correct context, communicate developments, and help the public understand the work being done for the benefit of Aruba and its community. This type of exchange also strengthens transparency and builds stronger relationships between A.T.A. and the media.
“Our relationship with the local press is of great importance to A.T.A. As key partners in communication, this gathering offered us the opportunity to share knowledge, listen to perspectives, and reinforce the collaboration essential to keeping Aruba well-informed. On behalf of the Aruba Tourism Authority, I want to thank all media professionals for their dedication, commitment, and professionalism. We wish them a happy Press Day 2026,” stated A.T.A. CEO Ronella Croes.
The press members in attendance left with a better understanding of A.T.A.’s strategic direction, communication strategies, and the positive impact of various programs and initiatives contributing to Aruba’s development and community well-being.
A.T.A. thanks all press members who participated in the celebration, as well as all media professionals who dedicate themselves year-round to informing, educating, and sharing news and updates with Aruba. Their contribution is indispensable and of great value.
On this occasion, the Aruba Tourism Authority wishes all journalists, reporters, photographers, editors, presenters, and media professionals a happy Press Day 2026 and thanks them for their continued commitment to our community and our island.
