Calling all creative minds to compete for cash & amazing prizes in the FCCA Essay & Poster Competition

Tourism Corporation Bonaire (TCB), in collaboration with the Florida-Caribbean Cruise Association (FCCA), is reminding all students and schools across Bonaire to submit their entries for the 2025 FCCA Essay & Poster Competitions.

This is a one-of-a-kind opportunity for students to gain international recognition, express their creativity, and represent Bonaire among peers from across the region.

Participants will be competing against students from throughout the Caribbean, Mexico, Central America, and South America, making this a truly international event and a platform to showcase the best of Bonaire’s talent and ideas.

Competition Categories
Students can submit entries in any of the following four categories:
Junior Division (Ages 12 & under) Essay and Poster Competition
Senior Division (Ages 13–16) Essay and Poster Competition
Competition Themes

Essay Theme:
“If I were a cruise passenger, what would I like to see or do in my country?”
Poster Theme:
“How to Protect the Marine Environment from Land-Based Activities”

Submission deadline is October 22nd, 2025. All completed entries and official forms must be submitted to TCB by this date.

Language Requirement: All entries must be submitted in English.

Incredible Prizes Await Winners:
Junior Division (ages 12 & under) & Senior Division (ages 13–16) each:
1st Place: Laptop + $3,000
2nd Place: Touchscreen Device + $1,500
3rd Place: Smartphone + $1,000

Winners Will Be Announced: December 10, 2025
Winning entries will be recognized and celebrated at the prestigious Seatrade 2026 international conference, where awards will be presented to representatives from the winning destinations.

TCB encourages all teachers, schools, and parents to inspire and support students in participating. This regional competition is a valuable opportunity for young minds to represent Bonaire, share their voices, and compete with some of the most creative students.
