In an atmosphere of high positivity, enthusiasm, and renewed energy, the Aruban People’s Party (PPA) is looking with great optimism at the progress of the work to complete its party headquarters in San Nicolas. The President of the PPA Board, Mr. Eddy Bennett, expressed his satisfaction and provided a clear insight into the impact that the change in leadership and the team’s hard work are having within the organization and among the public.

New Energy and Year-End Goal

Mr. Bennett highlighted that from the moment the new leadership took the helm of the party, the dynamics shifted completely, bringing a wave of energy that is motivating both party members and the community as a whole.

The party headquarters in San Nicolas, which had been closed and in a state of neglect for quite a few years, is currently undergoing full restoration. The primary goal remains to have the building fully finished by the end of the year, but the current pace of work allows for even faster projections.

“Our goal was to have the building completed by the end of this year. We definitely want to set off traditional firecrackers (pagara) out in front. But at the rate things are going, I believe that by October or early November, we can already start operating and hosting certain activities inside,” stated Mr. Eddy Bennett.

Clean Campaign and a Visionary Plan: 2025–2050

The positivity surrounding the party is the result of the campaign style and plan that PPA has presented to the public. Mr. Bennett emphasized that the party has run a clean campaign free of personal attacks, focusing solely on key projects crucial to moving Aruba forward.

A major highlight was the 2025–2050 Plan, a long-term roadmap designed to develop the country across all areas:

  • Long-Term Vision: The plan focuses on the future of Aruba over the coming decades.
  • Governance Goal: The objective is for the team’s 5 representatives to enter government and execute these goals for the well-being of the community.

Open Doors for Everyone Looking to Build Aruba

The rebirth of PPA has attracted many people, including professionals and citizens eager to contribute ideas and time toward the country’s reconstruction.

“We have many people approaching us who are willing to help and who bring great ideas. We have opened our doors to everyone who wants to join us because everyone is welcome. Together we are going to work to rebuild Aruba,” concluded the Board President.

The combination of intensive physical reconstruction on the party headquarters alongside strong leadership and organizational structure confirms PPA’s steadfast commitment to continuing its service to the people of San Nicolas and all of Aruba.
