Early yesterday morning, the Coast Guard received a notification from the vessel White Cloud, which was experiencing problems at sea. The captain reported that the boat had engine trouble and could no longer continue navigating.
The Coast Guard support center in Aruba immediately dispatched a patrol to the location of the vessel in waters near Aruba. When the patrol boat arrived at the scene, the Coast Guard patrol safely took the vessel with two people on board in tow. The Coast Guard transported the boat to Barcadera, where White Cloud was able to moor safely.
The Coast Guard advises boat owners to perform regular maintenance on their vessels. For their own safety on board, they should have: sufficient life jackets, a flashlight with batteries and a whistle, a first-aid kit, enough drinking water, a fire extinguisher, a VHF radio or a fully charged mobile phone.
Avoid the risk of an accident or dangerous situation at sea with your boat or Sea-Doo. In case you need assistance, you can call the Coast Guard at 913 or via WhatsApp at +5999 510 0913.
Enjoy the sea and beaches safely.
