The graduation ceremony for the Organization, Governance and Management (OGM) and Master’s in Governance & Leadership (MGL) study programs took place at the University of Aruba (UA), where diplomas were presented to congratulate the graduates on their academic achievement and commitment to the future of our country.
The Organization, Governance and Management program is a broad, generalist study that promotes a multidisciplinary approach with diverse perspectives. OGM graduates are prepared to fulfill key professional roles in our community, such as policy advisors, organizational consultants, managers, or researchers.
When working in either the public or private sector, graduates are expected to provide guidance focused on organizational and societal issues, design and build solutions for existing and emerging challenges, and create new possibilities by anticipating a constantly changing society. The OGM program outlines its fields of study in various ways, including organizational design, structure, vision, mission, and decision-making bodies.
They also focus on the processes and interactions through which an organization engages and consults with its stakeholders and accounts for its achievements. Governance defines how decisions are made and executed within an organization, whether in government or a private company. Therefore, governance determines how an organization is led, administered, or controlled.
This year’s graduation ceremony marks a truly special milestone for the department. During the event, the department celebrated its 100th graduate from the Bachelor’s program in Organization, Governance and Management (OGM). Furthermore, with great pride, the minister conferred the very first degrees upon graduates of the Master’s program in Governance and Leadership (MGL).
