Make Aruba Pink” Campaign Aims to Raise Breast Cancer Awareness Across the Community and Schools

Make Aruba Pink

As part of International Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October, the national initiative “Make Aruba Pink” was launched. This campaign focuses on the importance of prevention, early detection, and demonstrating solidarity with patients, survivors, and their families.

As part of this initiative, the Ministry building and the Guillermo Prospero Trinidad Stadium will be illuminated in pink to symbolize the cause.

Call to the Educational Sector and Community: The campaign makes a direct appeal to all school principals, teachers, administrative staff, students, and families to join this movement. Schools are encouraged to:

  • Wear pink during this month.
  • Organize educational activities and reflection spaces on health and prevention.
  • Promote conversations within the school environment to break taboos and encourage a conscious lifestyle from an early age.

The main goal is to reinforce the message that early detection of this illness saves lives, while recognizing the ongoing work of foundations and health professionals who bring this awareness to every corner of Aruba.
