Minister Wendrick Cicilia, himself a graduate of the University of Aruba, was present to support the new professionals entering the social field. The Faculty of Social Work and Development of the University of Aruba presented diplomas to several new professionals in the social sector. The event was a beautiful moment to witness that Aruba now has even more ambassadors of hope — people with the heart and the tools to help address the complexity of our social challenges.
The faculty also celebrated that they have trained more than one hundred professionals who today are active in different roles within our community. Truly a special milestone to celebrate.
Minister Cicilia took the opportunity to share a few words with the graduates:
“As social professionals, you carry a social responsibility. That means your knowledge has a purpose: to contribute to a better community, to give a voice to those who have none, and to defend the rights of those who feel abandoned and vulnerable.”
