Minister of Health, Social Affairs, Elderly Care, and Addiction Management, Mervin Wyatt-Ras, expressed his congratulations to Stichting HUNTO for the important achievement of realizing their project: a mobile trailer that will go out into the community to provide support and assistance to individuals struggling with addiction in Aruba.
During a special evening organized to present the project, Minister Wyatt-Ras, together with representatives from his ministry, participated in the event where Stichting HUNTO shared the journey they took to bring this initiative to fruition. Initially, only a small group of people believed in the idea, but through perseverance and commitment, the project became a reality.
The mobile trailer will allow Stichting HUNTO to get closer to the community, offering guidance, support, and information directly to people who need help.
Minister Wyatt-Ras emphasized that one of the most important aspects for organizations to obtain funding is sound financial management. He indicated that in the case of Stichting HUNTO, the foundation met this requirement by maintaining well-organized and transparent annual accounts.
The minister expressed his appreciation for the important work that Stichting HUNTO does in the community and encouraged them to continue working in favor of individuals facing the challenges of addiction.
