Aruban Olympic Committee Begins Preparations for Next Year’s Games

With the ASU 2025 Games now behind us, preparations have begun for 2026, which will be a very busy year for the athletes of #TEAMARU from the Aruban Olympic Committee (COA). Next year’s calendar includes four different multi-sport games, starting with the South American Youth Games Panama 2026.

These Games are organized by ODESUR and are youth-focused events, with most participating sports limited to the Under-18 (U18) age category. This represents an excellent opportunity for the new generation of athletes to experience a major international multi-sport event. The Games are expected to welcome around 17 participating countries, approximately 2,000 athletes, and 30 sports disciplines.

During these days, meetings are being held in Panama City, Panama, where all important information is being shared, along with guided tours of the venues that will be used during the Games. This allows each country to prepare properly for their participation in April of next year.

On behalf of the Aruban Olympic Committee, Technical Director Monica Fajardo attended these meetings to receive all relevant information and also held individual meetings with the organizers to specifically address COA’s participation in the Games.
