At the Krioyo Film Festival in Curaçao, the Aruban documentary The Prime Ministers made a strong and positive impression on the large audience that came to watch it. From early on, producer Omar Harms and co-producer Addonsito Croes were present to welcome attendees. Among those in attendance were former Prime Ministers of the Netherlands Antilles, Maria Liberia-Peters and Etienne Ys.
At the end of the screening, the audience — consisting largely of Arubans living in Curaçao as well as local Curaçaoans — expressed their joy and appreciation for the production. Many of the comments highlighted the human side of Aruba’s four former Prime Ministers, which was powerfully portrayed in the film. Some of the reactions included:
“Omar and Addonsito, very good documentary! Beautiful, emotional, and informative.”
The Prime Ministers has also been nominated for the Kadushi di Oro 2025. The festival’s success has been so great that the organizers decided to extend it for another week.
In closing, Omar Harms thanked all collaborators as well as the Cultural Fund Caribbean Region for the support given to this project.
