This morning, the Aruba Police Force announced that the island has recorded its third traffic-related death for the year 2026.
On Tuesday morning at approximately 9:15 a.m., the Police Central Dispatch was notified of a serious traffic accident on the main road of Seroe Teishi. According to the initial report, a vehicle veered off the road after the driver apparently failed to react in time.
The driver was transported urgently to the hospital. Unfortunately, earlier this morning at approximately 8:35 a.m., police confirmed that the driver passed away as a result of the injuries sustained.
The victim has been identified as Ronal Heredia Heredia, born on April 30, 2008, in the Dominican Republic, 17 years of age.
The Aruba Police Force is continuing its investigation into the cause of the accident.
