Kiwanis Club Of Palm Beach

Last Saturday, the Kiwanis Club of Palm Beach Aruba installed its new board for the 2025-2026 administrative year. The installation ceremony was conducted by Lieutenant Governor (LG) Fellow Kiwanian (FK) Rothmar Coenraad, who is also a member of the Kiwanis Club of Palm Beach, making the evening even more special. Fellow Kiwanian (FK) Dennis Evers had the honor of serving as the master of ceremonies for this meaningful occasion.

The new board of the Kiwanis Club of Palm Beach for the 2025-2026 term consists of the following volunteers:

Position Volunteer
President FK Michel Frank
Secretary FK Rodney Kock
Treasurer FK Navin Gangaram Panday
President Elect (PE) FK Roël Gomez
Vice President (VP) FK Christopher Robles
Immediate Past President (IPP) FK Ross Brezovar
Director FK Giandric Tromp
Director FK Dennis Evers
Director FK Joshua Arrindell
Director FK Glennrick Ridderstap

The evening began with welcoming remarks and the opening of the ceremonial meeting by outgoing President IPP Ross Brezovar, followed by the singing of Aruba’s National Anthem. FK Robert Jan Moons delivered the invocation, offering a reflection that set a positive and unifying tone for the event. Next, FK Jomar Benschop and FK Paul Suete read the Objectives of Kiwanis International, reminding all members and guests of the fundamental values of service and fellowship that guide Kiwanis.
To close the first part of the ceremony, FK Glennrick Ridderstap presented the traditional “Salute to the Ladies”, highlighting the importance and contributions of women in both volunteer work and daily life.

Remarks by IPP Ross Brezovar
The outgoing president emphasized that true volunteer work requires not only time but, above all, heart. He encouraged everyone present to dedicate their energy to serving the community and helping the island progress in meaningful ways.

Remarks by LG Rothmar Coenraad
Lieutenant Governor Rothmar Coenraad opened his address by saying:
“A title does not make a leader — service does.”
Leadership, he said, begins the moment one says “yes” to giving their time, talent, and heart. Even before one holds a position, the simple act of choosing to serve already defines true leadership.

“Destitution” of 2024-2025 Board and Installation of 2025-2026 Board
It was an honor to have a Lieutenant Governor, who is also an active member of the Kiwanis Club of Palm Beach, lead the ceremonial aspect of the transition — the “destitution” of the outgoing board and the installation of the new one.
The LG took time to highlight the special qualities of each board member assuming a new role, creating a warm and appreciative atmosphere.

Remarks by President Michel Frank
The newly installed president, FK Michel Frank, known as the founder of the brand Aruba Heat and currently a master’s student at the University of Aruba (SISSTEM program), chose to break tradition by forgoing a formal speech. Instead, he called upon all committee chairs individually to thank them for accepting their responsibilities.

President Frank also used this moment to announce his Signature Project: the creation of an inclusive playground, specially designed for children with disabilities. The project was warmly received by all in attendance and is expected to have a profoundly positive impact on the Aruban community. Further details will be shared with members and the public during the Kiwanis year 2025-2026.

The grand event took place at the Aruba Marriott Resort & Stellaris Casino, during a delightful dinner attended by representatives of various service organizations, collaborators, and supporters of the Kiwanis Club of Palm Beach.
Kiwanis International is a global volunteer organization dedicated to improving the world, one child and one community at a time.
