On Thursday night, the Department of Organized Crime (DCO), together with the San Nicolas Uniformed Police, arrested two individuals and seized a quantity of drugs.

The operation began after the Coast Guard found a drifting boat without a crew and informed the DCO. Police closed off part of Colony and spotted a suspicious vehicle. After a chase, the car stopped in Juana Morto, and three people fled.

During an immediate search, police managed to arrest two suspects of Venezuelan nationality. A third person could not be found. In the vehicle, packages of drugs were discovered, and the car was seized.

The DCO continues to work to combat drug trafficking in Aruba. The Aruba Police Force asks the community to report any information via 11141.
