Tourism Corporation Bonaire, together with the Bonaire Harbor Office, welcomed senior representatives of Carnival Cruise Line to Bonaire on Wednesday, August 19, 2026. The working visit formed part of the delegation’s broader program across the ABC Islands and provided an opportunity for dialogue with representatives from Bonaire’s public and tourism sectors.

The delegation included Sarah Reno, Chief Operations Officer of Carnival Cruise Line, and Marie S. McKenzie, Senior Vice President of Government and Destination Affairs at Carnival Corporation. The executives visited Bonaire while the Carnival Horizon was in port.

The official program included an on-island operations tour, ship visit, and lunch aboard the Carnival Horizon. Representatives from Bonaire’s public and tourism sectors met with the Carnival executives and gained further insight into the cruise line’s operations and approach to destination partnerships.

Later that afternoon, TCB hosted an informal Meet & Greet at Pier Dos. The gathering brought together the Carnival delegation, tourism stakeholders, and representatives of Bonaire’s public entity, including Island Governor John Soliano and Commissioner Timoteo Silberie.

The visit allowed participants to exchange perspectives in an open and constructive setting. The conversations addressed shared priorities such as providing a positive visitor experience, creating value for local businesses and the community, maintaining effective operational coordination, and supporting a responsible approach to cruise tourism that reflects Bonaire’s character.

“Carnival Cruise Line is an important and valued partner for Bonaire. Through direct and open dialogue, we can share our destination priorities, continue enhancing the visitor experience, and work together to ensure that cruise tourism creates meaningful value for our local tourism sector and the wider Bonairean community. Keeping these interests aligned is central to our approach to destination management,” said Elesiër Angel, CEO of Tourism Corporation Bonaire.

TCB will continue to work closely with the Public Entity Bonaire, the Harbor Office, local businesses, community stakeholders, and cruise industry partners to support a welcoming and well-coordinated cruise experience, with Bonaire’s interests and destination priorities guiding the ongoing dialogue.
