Singer Eltienne Yarzagaray and his band United Melodies, together with Ishon Boekhoudt and Gabriel Prato, delivered a powerful message of faith and recovery during the Night of Unity, organized by Stichting Hunto on September 30, 2026, at Centro Colorado. The gathering brought together music, praise, and personal experiences to show that a new life is possible after addiction.
Eltienne Yarzagaray and United Melodies provided the musical expression for the evening, featuring songs of faith and hope that invited attendees to reflect. Their contribution complemented the testimonies, creating a space to listen, share, and connect with one another.
Ishon Boekhoudt and Gabriel Prato shared their experiences with addiction, their recovery journey, and the role faith played in transforming their lives. Their testimonies brought the issue closer to those present: behind every struggle with addiction, there is a person, a story, and a future that can be rebuilt.
They shared how their faith helped them find the strength and direction to leave addiction behind and stay on the path to recovery. Today, by sharing their story, they serve as an example to others facing a similar struggle. Their message is one of hope, but also of courage: speaking openly about a difficult past can help someone else realize that change in their own life is possible.
The event gave space to stories that often remain hidden behind silence and stigma. Listening to Ishon and Gabriel’s stories highlights the individual and their ability to change, grow, and contribute to the lives of others.
For Stichting Hunto, the Night of Unity is an opportunity to strengthen connection and understanding around recovery. Faith can be an important source of personal strength; professional care, family and community support, and continuing the treatment journey at Stichting Hunto all form part of the process for people in recovery.
Stichting Hunto thanks Eltienne Yarzagaray and United Melodies for their music and dedication, and Ishon Boekhoudt and Gabriel Prato for their courage in sharing their experiences. Thank you also to everyone present who took the time to listen and join us.
The evening left a clear message: a past of addiction does not have to close the door to a hopeful future.
