On Thursday, August 31, 2023, the Minister of Health, Environment and Nature (GMN) issued six new ministerial decrees to replace older decrees that already existed. This provides the institute with the space to further develop its caring functions.
Currently treir is a long waiting lists of patients for specialized eye and/or surgical treatments. Advent Hospital is an officially designated ophthalmological (specialized eye) clinic. To address these waiting lists, Advent is expanding its role as a comprehensive Eye Clinic.
Investments are currently being made in the equipment necessary to perform eye treatments and operations, and the surgical wards that were under repair are being put back into operation.
The Minister of GMN and the Inspector of Public Health have perceived that Advent has obtained permits to attract four specialists from the Eye of Mexico that will be used from the rotation coming October. Due to this, the minister issued four ministerial orders on Friday, September 1, 2023.
With the establishment of a comprehensive eye clinic, Advent provides an important contribution to specialized eye care and will be able to reduce the waiting time for cross-treatments.
