Following the strong earthquake that affected Venezuela, Aruba joined forces to provide humanitarian aid. The Government of Aruba, the Aruba Red Cross, the Crisis Management Office (CMO), companies, organizations, and the community mobilized to help the Venezuelan people.

While the Disaster Response Team (DRT) of the Aruba Red Cross, together with the CMO, provided medical assistance in Venezuela, Aruba demonstrated solidarity by collecting various essential items, such as canned food, baby products, personal hygiene items, dog food, first aid kits, and other essential supplies.

The employees of the Bestuurskantoor also responded to the call for solidarity on their own initiative. For several weeks, they held collections at every ministry. Thanks to the generosity of the staff, a significant number of donations were gathered and delivered to the representatives of the Aruba Red Cross, who came to collect the items.

The Government expresses its sincere gratitude to all Bestuurskantoor employees for their contribution; it is a sign that although Aruba is a small country, our solidarity is great.
