During the final weekend of November, Cas di Cultura kicked off a new chapter in Aruba’s cultural story with the official launch of its public fundraising campaign, E Brasa, during the first night of the two-night Cas di Pasco Christmas Market. Guests at the festive market were treated to the premiere of the campaign’s vibrant jingle-produced by Steve Andreas and sung by Freddy ‘Rasta’ Richardson, and promotional video, celebrating the theater’s vision to revitalize its historic building and secure the future of arts, performances, and cultural events on the island. The launch was met with excitement from visitors, artists, and community supporters, marking an inspiring start to the campaign.
The E Brasa campaign is a pivotal initiative aimed at renovating and modernizing Cas di Cultura, ensuring it remains a vibrant space for performances, exhibitions, music, dance, and community gatherings for generations to come. With renovations underway, the campaign invites the public to participate through donations of any size — every contribution plays a part in keeping Aruba’s arts and culture thriving.
“Our Cas di Pasco event was a truly special moment for Cas di Cultura and the entire community,” said Vicky Arens, Director of Cas di Cultura. “The launch of E Brasa is about more than only renovating a building — it’s about preserving a space where stories are shared, artists grow, and our cultural heritage comes to life. We welcome everyone to join us in this exciting new chapter.”
The campaign was highlighted during the first night of Cas di Pasco (November 28), which featured festive music, popular gaita bands, food vendors, and a showcase of local crafts. The Christmas Market continued on November 29, offering another day of festive celebration and community engagement.
Donations to the E Brasa campaign can be made online through Cas di Cultura’s official website, www.casdicultura.aw or in-person at upcoming events. The campaign offers multiple donation options to make it easy for everyone to contribute, ensuring that both small and larger gifts help shape the theater’s future.
The renovation aims to enhance accessibility, improve facilities for performances and exhibitions, and provide a welcoming environment for all visitors. The campaign emphasizes community participation and celebrates the collective effort of patrons, businesses, and cultural enthusiasts who recognize the importance of preserving Aruba’s artistic heritage.
