Last week, the board of Cinearuba bid farewell to two active members who, after 13 years, will no longer be part of the foundation.
These members are Raphaela Mahadeo and Addonsito Croes. Both members became acquainted with the foundation 13 years ago, back when the classic Aruban film ABO SO was released in Aruba. Alongside a large cast consisting of, among others, Miguel Genser, Tyron de Freitas, Daphny Martijn, Lionel Dorothal, and Valerie Croes, both Raphaela Mahadeo and Addonsito Croes played important roles in ABO SO. Even the father of our culture, the late Padu Lampe, was part of the film. It was here, in particular, that Addonsito participated in his first film as an actor. This marked the beginning of a series of a total of 9 other films that followed afterward.
Since that time, founder Juan Fransisco Pardo invited Addonsito, Raphaela, and Luty Martinez to become part of the Cinearuba foundation.
After the beautiful contribution provided to the foundation, the two members decided that it was time to give other people the opportunity to be on the board.
For this reason, the foundation organized a special dinner for the two of them. Present were Juan Fransisco Pardo, Luty Martinez, Adriano Nanof, Raphaela Mahadeo, and Addonsito Croes. Both Addonsito and Raphaela wished Cinearuba all the success in the world and expressed their gratitude for each of the opportunities received. Three years ago, Cinearuba honored Addonsito and Raphaela for their 10 years of active membership.
