In the early morning hours, there was a solemn moment to commemorate the 39th anniversary of the passing of the freedom fighter Gilberto Francois “Betico” Croes. A morning in which brothers, children, family members, and acquaintances were present to remember the struggle and the work Betico carried out. Member of Parliament Evelyn Wever-Croes was present and indicated that it was a moment to sit quietly for a while and realize the freedom in which Aruba currently lives, so that we learn to preserve it for ourselves and the next generation.
Let us not allow the struggle of our architects of freedom to be forgotten
