New Commissioners Sworn In for Bonaire

Jennifer Mohamedjoenoes, Joselito Statia, and Timoteo Silberie were officially sworn in as new island commissioners for Bonaire.

During the meeting of the Island Council of Bonaire (decision-making session) held on Thursday, April 2, 2026,

  • Ms. Jennifer Mohamedjoenoes on behalf of the Union Patriotiko Boneiru (UPB),
  • Mr. Joselito Statia on behalf of the Movementu di Pueblo Boneiru (MPB), and
  • Mr. Timoteo Silberie on behalf of the Frakshon Silberie

were officially sworn in as island commissioners for Bonaire. With the appointment of the new commissioners, the Executive Council is now complete once again.

Gratitude and Ambitions

Following the official swearing-in ceremony, held in the presence of their families and many invited guests, the new commissioners expressed their gratitude and shared their ambitions.

The Island Council expressed its appreciation for the new commissioners and wished them great success in the upcoming governing period.

Portfolio Distribution to Follow Soon

During the next meeting of the Executive Council, the distribution of portfolios among the new Executive Council members will be determined and announced shortly
