Meeting held with the founding members of the Aruba Judo Federation
A meeting was recently held with the founding members of the new judo federation, which will be named the “Aruba Judo Federation” (AJF). After several years of preparation and drafting statutes in accordance with the legal requirements of Aruba and the international judo federation, the final version was successfully submitted to the “International Judo Federation” for approval, which will finalize the AJF’s statutes.
With this, the new AJF judo federation will soon be able to reactivate the sport on our island. With several active clubs and a large group of interested individuals, it is certain that we will once again see the sport of judo take its place among the most practiced sports in Aruba. The Aruban Olympic Committee (COA) congratulates the AJF and its founders for this achievement, which was attained through intensive work and the patience required to complete the process correctly.
