Tourism Corporation Bonaire (TCB) is pleased to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for 2026 with 18-year-old Bonairean diver Isabel Arango.
Isabel, born and raised in Bonaire, completed her first dive when she was just eight years old and has since logged over 120 dives. Her passion for diving continues to grow, alongside her interest in public speaking and storytelling.
Through this partnership, TCB will support Isabel in her further development as a young diver and in her efforts to inspire others—particularly youth—to discover the underwater world. As part of this collaboration, later this year Isabel will participate in Diving Talks in Portugal, where she will have the opportunity to share her experiences and her journey as a young diver from Bonaire.
“Isabel is a tremendous example of the young local talent that Bonaire has to offer. We are thrilled to support her development and provide her with the opportunity to share her passion for diving and represent Bonaire on an international level,” said Elesiër Angel, Director of Tourism Corporation Bonaire.
For Isabel, diving is about much more than just exploring the underwater world. She hopes to show our youth that this sport offers many possibilities to discover and to inspire them to take the first step in doing so.
“I want to keep growing as a diver while inspiring other youth to discover what lies beneath the sea and to see the opportunities that diving can offer,” Isabel shared.
This partnership is part of TCB’s ongoing efforts to support local talent and create opportunities for young Bonaireans to develop their skills and represent our island on an international stage.
