The Aruba Police Corps, Aviation Department, and Government of Aruba announce that, in connection with the visit of His Majesty King Willem-Alexander to Aruba, there will be a strict prohibition on the use of drones and remote-controlled aircraft over the territory of Aruba from the evening of Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at 8:00 pm until Wednesday, March 18, 2026, at 8:00 pm.
This prohibition applies up to a maximum altitude of 6,500 feet in the airspace over Aruba and extends up to 500 meters from the coastline. In addition, there is a ban on local flights of all types of aircraft (including small planes and helicopters) during the same period. Only international commercial flights are permitted to take off and land at Queen Beatrix International Airport. Aircraft operated by local authorities have an exception.
These measures are necessary in connection with national security. The community is asked to comply with this prohibition.
