FAA / SAR Silver Alert issues urgent call for search of missing elderly person

FAA/SAR Silver Alert is making an urgent appeal to all persons who have received a Certificate of Preparation for Missing Elderly Search to immediately get in contact and assist in a search operation.

The missing person is James Wathey, better known as James “Magaré” (Fisherman). According to family information, Mr. Wathey recently suffered a minor stroke (TIA). There is a possibility that he experienced another episode, which may have caused disorientation.

Last known information
Mr. Wathey was last seen in the area of Pieter Boer School in San Nicolas. Information indicates that he visited Herbie’s Minimarket, located at Clavelstraat 19, on the corner of Isaac Wagenmakerstraat, Geermanstraat, and Clavelstraat, to buy food.

Clothing description
According to the latest information, Mr. Wathey was wearing:

  • Black shirt with blue
  • Blue short pants

Critical situation
Search organizations emphasize that in cases involving missing elderly persons, every hour counts. It is known that after 48 hours, a search becomes much more critical.

FAA/SAR requests all certified volunteers to make immediate contact for more information regarding the search operation.

Anyone with relevant information is strongly encouraged to notify the organization immediately.
