Last week, Colegio Santa Filomena held its annual graduation for the students who successfully completed primary school. The graduation of a total of 22 students, who are subsequently moving on to secondary school, took place at the Renaissance Convention Center. The theme was “Under the Sea,” and each table was elegantly decorated with an aquarium containing live fish. A poem written by the teachers dedicated to the graduates was presented by the MC. The teachers and classes of CSF are: 1st grade Juf (Teacher) Minchella, 2nd grade Juf Zayenne, 3rd grade Mr. Sebastiaan/ Juf Magdaly, 4th grade Juf Elseline, 5th grade Juf Chanine, 6th grade Mr. Niels, and Mr. Mario as the principal. Mr. Mario was wished a speedy recovery. Some of the schools mentioned that the students will be attending are Filomena College MAVO, Abraham de Veer School, Colegio Nigel Matthew, St. Augustinus College, and EPB San Nicolas.
The master of ceremonies for more than 5 years was Mr. Addonsito Croes, and that evening, special thanks were given to Juf Magdaly, who recently finished her studies at IPA and is the 3rd-grade teacher. Mister Sebastiaan Kraaijkamp led the prayer of blessing, and the 6th-grade class gave a beautiful presentation to the audience.
