The ATV and UTV sector in Aruba is going through difficult times, with uncertainty regarding the future of their businesses. According to Jimmy Douglas, representative of Aruba Ariba Tours, the main problem is the lack of communication from the government.
“We don’t know what is happening, we don’t know,” declared Douglas. He indicates that there is great concern due to the lack of information and points out that the uncertainty is severely affecting the businesses.

Douglas emphasized that this concern is not political, but commercial. He represents the “Off-Road Foundation,” which shares the same concerns. He points out that the decisions and the lack of clarity are affecting their families and the future of their businesses.

According to Douglas, they are being harmed by the decisions surrounding the “Light House” route, which is one of the most important routes for tours. Douglas said that they have contracts with cruise lines extending to 2027, 2028, and 2030, and the cancellation of the routes puts them in a very difficult position. This brings negative consequences both financially and for tour companies in general.
