With the start of a new school year approaching, Centro di Bario Noord, in collaboration with the Aruba Red Cross (Rode Kruis Aruba), is preparing two special mornings of “Reusable Clothing Distribution,” where parents and community members can find clothing and possible school uniforms in good condition.
This initiative is part of the effort to provide support and relief to families in the Noord community, especially during the preparation period for the new school year. Since the cost of school supplies and clothing can represent a challenge for some families, the market offers an opportunity to get second-hand clothing in good condition and, at the same time, promote reuse and solidarity within the community.
The market will take place over two mornings, on Thursday, August 13, and Friday, August 14, from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM, at Centro di Bario Noord. During both days, there will be a large quantity of clothing in good condition available for those interested. The clothing will be distributed on a “first-come, first-served” basis. For this reason, parents and other community members are encouraged to arrive early.
In addition to the available clothing, parents who have school uniforms from Noord schools in good condition that they no longer use can contribute to the initiative by bringing them as well. These uniforms can get a second use and reach another student who may need them.
Centro di Bario Noord and the Aruba Red Cross invite parents and families of Noord to take advantage of the opportunity and participate in the market. The initiative is a great example of how community collaboration can help families, reduce waste, and promote a culture of sharing and helping one another.
