“For I am the Lord your God, who takes hold of your right hand and says to you: Do not fear, I will help you.”
(Isaiah 41:13)
“In peace I will lie down and sleep, for You alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety.”
(Psalm 3:8)
“My soul waits silently for God alone, for my hope is in Him. He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress; I shall not be moved. In God is my salvation and my honor; my strong rock, my refuge is in God. Trust in Him at all times, O people; pour out your hearts before Him; God is our refuge. Once God has spoken, twice I have heard this: power belongs to God, and mercy is Yours, O Lord, for You repay each man according to his deeds.”
(Psalm 62:5-6-7-8-11-12)
Today, many abandon their trust in God and instead place their trust in people, who are temporary. Many people trust in material things, many trust in science or the wisdom of others, and some have gone so far as to deny God and put their trust in witchcraft, fables, and things they themselves have invented. In doing so, they turn away from God’s natural, precious, perfect, and unchanging principles.
The enemy catches people when their trust in God is weak and leads them into darkness, making them dependent on things that can never satisfy their lives. They will live under constant stress and depression because they lack peace.
Imagine the life of a young person trapped in drugs and alcohol: constantly fighting with weapons, driving drunk, sleeping on the streets, living a life of rebellion without a true relationship with God. They think drugs are their path forward, even while they see how many lives drugs and alcohol have taken. How many are disabled today? How many reach old age? And still, no one finds the wealth that drugs promised them.
Many young people are being lost because they put their trust in people and refuse to put their trust in God.
Once again, we want to remind everyone that God is Supreme. God offers Safety, Salvation, Eternal Life. God is present every moment. His power is our guarantee in all things.
Trust in God is not a luxury — it is a great necessity. It is our way of life. No person can live independently of God. Everyone needs God in their lives. Connected to God, we can do all things; apart from Him, we can do nothing. (John 15:5)
“For by grace you have been saved through faith; and this is not of yourselves — it is the gift of God; not by works, so that no one may boast.”
(Ephesians 2:8-9)
“If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given to him.”
(James 1:5)
Moses depended on God, and God used Moses greatly.
King Hezekiah depended on God, and God saved his nation.
Daniel depended on God, and the mouths of the lions were shut.
Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego trusted and depended on God, and passed through the fiery furnace unharmed.
With trust in God, we will overcome darkness and all evil.
