A tense moment occurred when a tree planted many years ago at the end of the main street suddenly fell over. The incident happened right as a vehicle was passing by, leaving it with significant material damage to its windshield.

Although the impact could have ended in tragedy, thankfully no one was injured, though the scare for the driver was considerable.

Authorities acted quickly at the scene. Police arrived to regulate traffic and manage the situation, allowing the fire department to start sawing the tree into pieces to remove it from the road and reopen traffic. Representatives from DOW (Department of Public Works) were also present to assess the situation regarding the fallen tree.

This incident has raised a question that is now on everyone’s lips: Does what happened make DOW responsible for the expenses? The million-dollar question remains whether the department will pay for the broken windshield of the innocent citizen who was legally driving on a public road.
