Following a successful three days of performances across multiple schools, Cas di Cultura and Grupo di Teatro Senguene proudly celebrate the continued impact of the Little Stars Theater Festival and this year’s children’s production, Hans y Gretita.
Leading up to the festival’s final presentation this weekend, students from participating schools St. Paulus School, Colegio Santa Filomena Basis, and Scol Soeur Juliette took part in a special “Tour di Little Stars,” bringing the magic of theater directly to elementary schools across Aruba. On May 18th, 19th, and 20th, each participating school performed not only for their own student body, but also for students at different elementary schools, creating a unique exchange centered around creativity, storytelling, and youth expression.
The young cast members had the opportunity to perform for students at St. Paulus School, Colegio Santa Filomena Basis, Scol Soeur Juliette, Scol Caiquetio, Colegio Sagrada Curazon, Colegio Santa Teresita, Mon Plaisir San Nicolas, Reina Beatrix School, and Pius X School.
The initiative proved to be a great success, with hundreds of students experiencing live theater in an engaging and accessible way. Beyond entertainment, the project aimed to encourage confidence, teamwork, communication skills, and a growing appreciation for the performing arts among Aruba’s youth.
Through programs like the Little Stars Theater Festival, Cas di Cultura, and Grupo di Teatro Senguene continue their mission of “sembrando amor pa teatro” — inspiring a new generation to connect with culture and creativity through the transformative power of theater.
