Centro di Bario Noord continues community good deeds for “World Humanitarian Day”

Dia Mundial De La Asistencia Humanitaria 1

Following Thursday and Friday’s community event of distributing reusable clothing in collaboration with the Red Cross—which saw high attendance—Centro di Bario Noord (CBN) is continuing with another act of goodwill for 54 primary and basic school children in Noord.

On the occasion of World Humanitarian Day, celebrated globally on August 19, CBN delivered school uniforms and backpacks to schools in Noord, benefiting a total of 54 children.

The action focuses on the importance of solidarity, cooperation, and mutual support within our community, especially regarding children and their education. For CBN, this initiative represents more than just a donation: it is an expression of commitment to contribute to the well-being and development of the children of Noord.

The uniform donation was made possible thanks to a generous gesture from Hilton, which donated mattresses. With the funds obtained from this donation, CBN was able to purchase the necessary school uniforms for the beneficiary children. Additionally, an anonymous citizen donated backpacks with contents for 30 children.

The delivery benefited 5 basic schools and 4 primary schools in Noord. Ligia Croes Roza, Program Leader at CBN, stated: “World Humanitarian Day is a time to remind us that solidarity and humanity begin in our own community.”
