Strength for the family: if you want to walk right, walk with christ jesus

Marcel Balootje

We all know that in this life there are two paths — a good path and a bad path.

Many times, we try to walk both paths — spending some time on the good one, and then on the bad one.
But that way of living doesn’t work for anyone.
Everyone must decide for themselves which path they will follow, because your life here on earth with the Lord will determine whether you can rejoice in heaven with Christ Jesus.

The Word of God teaches us who we are and how we should behave on the Lord’s path, for Christ Jesus said:
“I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”

This is the true path, for idolatry cannot bring people closer to God.
Jesus identified Himself as the true way, so we do not need to seek other ways — we must come directly to Him.

Jesus said: “Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” (Matthew 11:28)
For it is only in Jesus that we can find true rest.

For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them. (Ephesians 2:10)

So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in Him, rooted and built up in Him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness. (Colossians 2:6-7)

Anyone who says they are a Christian must know that Christ Jesus is the priority in their life.
They must follow the signs that accompany those who believe and understand that nothing needs to be added to their life, for Christ Jesus is everything for us.

The Word of God says:
“Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.” (Colossians 3:1-2)

Do not love the world or the things in the world.
If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in them.
For everything in the world — the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life — comes not from the Father but from the world.
And the world and its desires pass away, but whoever does the will of God lives forever. (1 John 2:15-17)

That is why Galatians 5:16-25 explains that we must walk by the Spirit, and we will not gratify the desires of the flesh.
For those who practice the works of the flesh will not inherit the Kingdom of God.

So be careful how you live — not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil. (Ephesians 5:15-16)

Do not conform to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may discern what is the good, pleasing, and perfect will of God. (Romans 12:2)

We must make every effort to guide our children to walk in the path of Christ Jesus, for the world’s malice, immorality, and idolatry seek to destroy them.

It is time to open our eyes and draw near to God,
for the thief comes only to steal, kill, and destroy.
