While the sun is shining in Aruba and temperatures are pleasant, snow has been falling steadily in the Netherlands since early morning. In various parts of the country, including the coast, the central areas, and the northern regions, the landscape has transformed into a white blanket of snow.
In places such as Amsterdam, Utrecht, Rotterdam, and also in the Noordwijk region, snow began falling from the early morning hours. Roads, parks, and streets are covered in snow, creating a typical Dutch winter atmosphere.
According to Arubans living in the Netherlands, snowfall this year has been more frequent than they were used to in previous years. Several of them shared that temperatures have remained below zero and that snow has been falling almost every day, causing slippery road conditions and delays in public transportation.
Despite the cold, many people are enjoying the winter scenery, with families and children going outside to enjoy the snow and skate on frozen lakes.
Meanwhile, Arubans in the Netherlands are comparing the intense cold with the tropical warmth back home, remembering that in Aruba the sun continues to shine and the sea invites them for a beautiful beach day and to come back home.
