Although a fraction of AVP and FUTURO voted against the opposition’s motion regarding an exception for the CEO of AAA to receive an exorbitant salary, parliamentarian Mike de Meza voted in favor of this motion because he believes it is not appropriate. Parliamentarian Mike de Meza stated in parliament that after handling the 2019 annual accounts, which the majority had approved, he also pointed out that there had been a previous motion regarding the LNT, which ultimately was not approved by the majority. According to De Meza, the motion concerns not granting an exception to the potential new director of AAA. Parliamentarian De Meza supports the motion because if the government agrees to give an exception to the CEO of AAA, then exceptions should also be granted to other directors of state-owned companies.
