It’s time to put things back on track. From tackling the climate crisis to poverty and social inequality: the Netherlands needs a well-functioning government that turns challenges into opportunities, without leaving anyone behind.
Today we published our ideas for this in the draft Election program of GroenLinks-PvdA for the 2023 House of Representatives elections: together for a hopeful future.
” There is no challenge so big, or we can handle it, ” writes Frans Timmermans in the foreword. This requires cooperation and restoration of trust. “Only on the basis of trust can our society shape the future in such a way that every resident of the Netherlands can feel at home.”
One thing is clear from the program: we can do this. Together we can do things differently in the Netherlands. By transitioning to a sustainable economy, sharing prosperity more equitably, and restoring confidence in ourselves, each other, and in government. That is why this programme focuses on four themes: restoring trust, climate justice, livelihood security and a strong Europe. This is how we work towards a hopeful future, for ourselves and for the generations after us. Together we can.
