The sports organization Indebon expanded the sports that are part of its school competitions with aquathlon and 3×3 basketball. This year, Advanced Education students are also participating in the competitions for the first time.
The girls of advanced education participate in Cruyff Court football and the boys of this type of education participate in 3×3 basketball. The students of the basic school participate in competitions of tréfbal, football for girls, athletics, Ladies, ahedres, flight for boys, 3×3 basketball and aquathlon. School competitions start on Monday, September 25, 2023.
Students who wish to form a team to participate, can be brought up close to the physical exercise record. At school, young athletes tend to go to where cheating competitions are held. The local winners of the sports competition compete for our island during the inter-island competitions in Bonaire in the month of February 2023. Then they compete against the winners of the schools from Aruba and Curacao.
In the year 2022 around 300 students participated in the school competitions in Bonaire. The expectation is that the number of participants will be higher, now that advanced education students are also participating.
The first school competition was held in 1993. In the beginning it was about football, basketball and volleyball. Later the competition was expanded with the sports athletics
