The 34th edition of the “Ronde van Aruba” was a success and will go down in history as the largest edition ever. A total of 813 participants took part in the 72-kilometer running event, hailing from Aruba, the Netherlands, and England.

Aruba’s largest sporting event, organized by the Sports Bureau of Marine Barracks Savaneta, brought together a diverse group of participants this year. Approximately 30% of the participants were military personnel, while 70% consisted of local residents and sports enthusiasts from the Netherlands and England.

The challenging route around Aruba provided a unique combination of physical performance and island experience. Both individual runners and teams delivered impressive performances in warm conditions and were cheered on along the course by supporters.

“The record number of participants shows that the “Ronde van Aruba” continues to grow as a sporting event with a strong social connection,” said Jeffrey Wassenburg, Head of the Sports Bureau at Marine Barracks Savaneta. “The collaboration between the armed forces, volunteers, and the Aruban community has once again resulted in a safe and successful event.”
