The Bonaire Human Rights Organization (BHRO), in collaboration with the Movement for Change Foundation, announces an essay competition for Bonairean women to gain a unique opportunity to participate in the United Nations Woman Conference in New York, March 2026.
The competition’s theme, “My Voice, Our Future: The Role of Women in Defending Human Rights and Shaping Bonaire’s Future,” invites participants to explore the role of women in advancing human rights, promoting cultural preservation, and contributing to global discussions on women’s rights.
One winner will join the BHRO delegation to experience and participate in official UN events and side activities, learning from international leaders and gaining firsthand insight into global decision-making on women’s rights and human rights issues.
It is an extreme privilege for me, as President of the Bonaire Human Rights Organization, to organize this historic engagement, giving a Bonairean woman the chance to participate at this international level.
This is a unique opportunity for a Bonairean woman to gain international experience and actively participate in shaping the global conversation on women’s rights.
