The elderly group Flor di Aloë celebrated a decade of friendship, commitment, and community.
The celebration brought together members, families, and guests to commemorate this beautiful occasion. The event featured music, singing, and many joyful moments, reflecting the warm atmosphere and strong sense of community that the group has cultivated over the past ten years. A special moment during the celebration occurred when the members sang a song together, reflecting the unity and friendship that characterizes Grupo Flor di Aloë.
The evening was attended by Minister Melvin Wyatt-Ras, who shared a pleasant moment with the members of Flor di Aloë to personally congratulate them on their anniversary. The Minister also recognized the group’s recent participation in the Olimpiada pa Nos Adulto Mayor (Olympics for Our Elderly) in Bonaire, where they represented Aruba with pride and achieved the title of runner-up.
“Our elderly are an important pillar in our community. Over the past 10 years, Grupo Flor di Aloë has created a valuable space where they can gather, share, and spend pleasant moments together. This is a beautiful example of how friendship, commitment, and social encounters can enrich people’s lives,” Minister Wyatt-Ras stated.
The Ministry of Health, Social Affairs, Elderly Care, and Addiction Policy recognizes Grupo Flor di Aloë’s valuable contribution to the well-being and social participation of our elderly. The Ministry congratulates the group on their 10th anniversary and wishes them much health, happiness, and success in the years to come.
