On Tuesday, November 26, Fundacion Lanta Papiamento (FLP) will host an evening lecture presented by Mr. Ramon Todd Dandaré, Mag. Ling.
The lecture, “Den kibra di marduga: Aurora di un lenga Crioyo – Papiamento,” focuses on the oldest existing Papiamento texts we have today and their significance. Mr. Todd Dandaré will discuss texts from the years 1775, 1776, 1783 and 1803. These documents offer valuable insight into the history and development of Papiamento. They also tell us much about the period and the circumstances in which they were written.
Fundacion Lanta Papiamento invites everyone to attend this lecture, which will take place at the
National Library on Tuesday, November 26, from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. The hall opens at 6:00 p.m. Those who cannot attend in person can follow the lecture via livestream. The link is:
