We listened to the heartbeat of the care workers. The MAN-PIN faction met with the CBV union to discuss the current situation in the care sector, as well as our vision for care and care personnel.
During this meeting, shop stewards representing more than 10 care organizations and CBV expressed their concerns. They highlighted that salaries and other labor conditions, the lack of necessary materials to provide proper care, and a chronic shortage of specialized personnel are negatively affecting the health of our people.
For our faction, the issues of healthcare quality and labor conditions of workers are very important. This is essential and valuable work, and it must be supported with proper salary structures and working conditions. Attention must also be given to providing necessary materials for workers.
These are the topics we discussed, and we will continue working to present a proposal that reflects the interests and advancement of the care sector and its workers.
We are pleased with the opportunity to meet with CBV and its membership. More engagement with these work visits can be expected. The MAN-PIN faction will continue to work in Parliament for the welfare of the people of Curaçao
