Recently, the Minister of Culture, Xiomara Maduro, met with the Monuments Bureau about the various restoration and maintenance works currently being done on the monuments of our country.
The president received an update on the work being done on Maria Convent, which will become the SISSTEM faculty of the University of Aruba and the project is expected to be ready in 2024. The building of Sociale Zaken next to Lagoon will undergo some roof repairs, and the former DOW building is also being prepared for renovation. Other maintenance work also remained open at the Ecury Complex and DVG.
Minister Maduro is pleased to see the efforts to restore and conserve our monuments. Each monument is an important part of our cultural heritage and is sure to tell the story of our country, now and for generations to come. Our cultural heritage remains a priority
