Last weekend, a symposium organized by Soroptimist International took place at the Educampus building in connection with the celebration of International Women’s Day. The event attracted a full audience of participants, both women and men, who were interested in the topics discussed during the informative morning session.
During the symposium, three expert speakers presented on different aspects of trauma. Among the topics covered were “Understanding Trauma,” “Intergenerational Trauma,” and “Inner Safety Activation.” The presentations provided greater understanding of how trauma can affect individuals and how it can also be passed from one generation to another.
According to Soroptimist International president Magali Maduro, the organization is pleased with the strong interest shown by the community. Maduro noted that the symposium became an important space for education and discussion on relevant issues related to personal and social well-being.
Maduro indicated that the organization intends to continue with this type of initiative. The plan is to organize activities on a monthly basis, with each month addressing a different topic, with the goal of continuing to inform and educate the community.
The informative morning session was considered a success for the organization, which remains committed to strengthening knowledge and awareness about issues affecting women and the community in general.
