Car theft On Friday, October 2, around 7:00 a.m., the central dispatch received a report of the theft of a grey Toyota Vitz from Kaya Filomena. The vehicle had been parked in front of a house since Thursday, October 1, around 5:00 p.m. The case is under investigation.

Pick-up truck theft On Thursday, October 1, around 10:00 a.m., a complaint was filed for the theft of a red Toyota Hilux at a supermarket. The vehicle was parked while merchandise was being unloaded. When the involved individuals returned a short while later, the pick-up truck was gone. There were still fruits and vegetables in the cargo bed. The case is under investigation.

Fatbike confiscated On Friday, October 2, around 2:00 a.m., a police patrol on Kaya J.E. Nicolaas observed a fatbike riding without a headlight. The rider was not pedaling and was traveling at an estimated speed of over 25 kilometers per hour. The fatbike was taken to the police station for a technical inspection. A dyno test revealed that the vehicle could reach a speed of 40 kilometers per hour without pedal assistance. The fatbike was confiscated.

A short while later, police located the suspect at a snack bar on Kaya Neerlandia. A 47-year-old man with initials R.D.B. was arrested for threats and vandalism. A screwdriver, which according to the victim was used during the threat, was found in a vehicle and confiscated. Police are conducting further investigations.
